Proudly Representing New Jersey’s 10th Congressional District
Jersey City was built by immigrants who came here looking for dignity and safety. Trump tried to target us for our sanctuary status. We won’t hand over our power to ICE.

Alongside @menendez.house.gov, I’m proud to fully support Mayor Solomon’s order to keep Jersey City a sanctuary city.

The Biking Fireman gets it. When we don’t design roadways with safety in mind, people get hurt.

That’s why I fought to pass $850,000 in funding through the House to transform the intersection at Lenape Park and Nomahegan Park—federal funding to enhance safety for YOU.

Since day one, the demand has been the same: oversight and accountability from this cruel administration.

Today, I returned to Delaney Hall alongside @booker.senate.gov and @menendez.house.gov We’re not backing down from holding Trump accountable in our communities and the halls of Congress.

Donald Trump is trampling on all of our freedoms. We won’t stop fighting to secure reproductive freedom. And we won’t stop standing up to him.
January 22, 2026 at 11:26 PM
Roe v. Wade affirmed a simple truth: decisions about our bodies belong to us. A right that was secured—and then stripped away.

On the anniversary of the decision, I recommit to fighting for reproductive freedom and access to care for all.

The greatest threat to the homeland right now is DHS under Kristi Noem’s control.

Just last week, a parent in NJ-10 was detained by ICE after ordering food for his 6-year-old daughter. When her dad didn’t come home, the little girl was found crying and wandering for hours outside, parentless.

During a visit from constituents representing the math and science community, Team LaMonica discussed how our $1,000,000 investment in a Youth STEM program will empower Newark students to develop their passions and skills. This is how we grow the next generation of innovators!

My job in Congress is protecting the people I represent from this president and his actions. I’m a mom. It’s just what we do.

Black history month is around the corner…so is the deadline for our NJ-10 Congressional Essay Contest! Will YOU be the winner in 2026?
January 21, 2026 at 12:48 AM
@leahlitman.bsky.social and @wagnertonight.msnbc.com are totally right. The law says members of Congress can conduct oversight of ICE detention centers. Oversight is our responsibility and our duty, but I’m facing intimidation from this administration for conducting it.
January 20, 2026 at 8:08 PM
I was doing my job then. I’m doing my job now. And I won’t back down.

It is my responsibility as your representative to show up, do oversight, and get answers for the people.

Being a mom shouldn’t come with impossible choices.

I met with advocates for paid leave and maternal health equity from Bobbie discuss policies that put families first.
January 20, 2026 at 4:01 PM
Protecting people is my job. No one—not this administration, not ICE—will keep me from doing it.

I sat down with @newyorker.com to talk about why I’m not backing down in the face of political intimidation.

Today we celebrate Dr. King, who dedicated his life to bringing us closer to the America we’ve longed for, and we won’t let anyone take us back.

Decades later, his words still give us the direction and vision to stand up for justice and change.

NJ-10’s Congressional App Challenge is a way to celebrate students for their skills and dedication to community. After a competitive judging process, we are proud to announce “Kora” as this year’s winner! Designed by four high schoolers, Kora helps caregivers communicate with kids.

Salaam to our Muslim brothers and sisters as we celebrate Muslim Heritage Month in New Jersey. NJ-10 is proud to honor faith, history, culture, and the contributions of Muslim communities in our wonderful district.

One simple question: Has your life gotten better since Trump has taken office?
January 16, 2026 at 5:36 PM
No matter the zip code they were born in, every scientific innovator was once a student who just needed access.

That’s why I worked to pass a $1 million investment in a youth STEM innovation and exploration program right here in Newark through the House. Let’s keep growing the brightest minds!🧠

I’m bringing dollars back to Orange Township to help keep our communities healthy. Clean water is essential to doing that. That’s why I was proud to pass through the House $1,092,000 in funding for the drinking water main relocation project.

Today, House Homeland Security Democrats demanded Secretary Noem be removed from an office she never deserved to hold.

Secretary Noem: You are terrible at your job. You are incompetent. You are shameless. But most of all you are cruel. The American people want none of it.

I’m a public school mom. I used to work in the public school system. I’ve seen how critical IDEA funding is for students with disabilities.

Your zip code shouldn’t decide what your child’s education looks like. That’s why I’m working to protect IDEA funding.

Today, we celebrate the arrival of the first Korean immigrants to the U.S. I’m grateful for my Korean American neighbors who have enriched NJ-10. I’m proud to have joined @gomez.house.gov in a resolution recognizing the history, culture, and impact of Korean Americans.

I had to go to the House floor to congratulate the champions of the Newark Board of Education’s Holiday Basketball Tournament: Malcom X Shabazz’s Boys Basketball Team and Arts High School’s Girls Basketball Team. Proud of our NJ-10 schools!

Go Bulldogs! Go Jaguars!

Jean Wilson Brutus died in ICE custody after just one day at Delaney Hall.

The brutal conditions must end. That’s why, for a second time, I’m demanding an investigation into Delaney Hall and why I will keep calling for oversight of DHS—to protect our communities.
