Just had my first-ever experience of a delivery guy needing to collect a tariff from me in order to give me my package. Only a bank or cashier’s check is accepted, so no way for me to pay, I have to go to the bank tomorrow and the postman will try again. Very cool new system, America is great again

Right-wingers have had hissy fits about people saying Trump is “not my president”. Since he has shown nothing but the back of the hand to Democrats and more broadly blue states and Democratic cities, I’d like to say that if he doesn’t want to be my president, the feeling is mutual.

Hey, serious question for lawyers out there: could the City of Portland or a group of downtown Portland businesses sue the president or his administration for defamation? Local businesses have almost certainly suffered economic harm from these constant malicious lies.

They are held in actual prisons, not distributed out to be hidden by random Hamas members in whatever conditions they choose, from a room in an apartment block to a tunnel underground. Their families know where they are, and that they are alive. So that's pretty different from the hostages.

Prisoners. Arrested on either charges or an administrative detention based on suspicion of crimes. The point is to stop the crimes from happening, the attacks on Israeli civilians done by the movement to establish a Palestine from the Jordan to the Mediterranean.

It IS fair to say the PA can't take control until they hold the elections they've been postponing for years. Until they allow fair competition, and no party in the campaign has a militia wing that can intimidate voters. After that, they take over from the transition government. It's logical.

OK, but those are most of the people trashing this peace deal. First of all, Trump didn't create it, he's just taking credit for it and the real people who created it, hardworking Euro and Arab diplomats, are just letting him because they want it to work. Secondly, it's a fair plan for statehood.

I still think at some point he asked an AI lobbyist or industry head whether the AIs could ever make Medbeds real, like "They call them Medbeds, have you seen this? Very hot on Truth Social. Can your AI make them?" And one of them just deadpan went, "Yes, absolutely, sir, with the information!"
