I lived in a cul-de-sac in TX. A newer community. When we'd get those sudden downpours that flooded the street and got 1/2 way up my driveway...the drains were so overwhelmed it took a while before they could handle all the water.
Abt 3 yrs after I left TX a CAT 5 hurricane flooded the houses.

I'm 12 miles inland; it's coming up the coast.
I fear the high winds most of all right now bc our property is surrounded by old, 30ft trees too close for comfort if they fall.
I've been thru hurricanes...this storm is similar, ATM it's eerily still & warm outside.

I was impressed by her dedication to democracy in Venezuela til I read she's encouraged & rewarded Trump for blowing up the fishing vessels in their waters. Not OK.
