It totally tracks that the infomercial guy who got arrested for fighting a prostitute and was accused of stalking and abusing his assistant is MAGA.
Gray day before the rains on what is becoming one of my favorite creeks (at least during cold weather when the crowds are gone). Caught one small rainbow on a tenkara rod, lightly foul hooked in the weirdest way. And I spotted a mink.

The beadhead pettirosso nymph has been a very effective pattern for me on both tenkara and a western rods. Trying it out here without a bead and with a vicuna dubbed body with red wire ribbing.

Came home to a package full of flies from the Tenkara Angler kebari swap. Really beautiful, inspiring flies in the puck. All of them, including the ones not pictured are wonderful.

OHP paid me 25% of my fees. They kept cutting payments as my other costs skyrocketed. They demanded tons of paperwork. I want to do it, but the state wants to make dentists pay for the opportunity.

Explored some of the year round trout water to the north of me. Would have been decent tenkara water, but I did more exploring than fishing and stuck to my 3wt. Was nice to encounter only wild fish on this stocked stream.

Second time out with a western fly rod -- quick 45 minutes practice casting -- and got my first catches. The pettirosso nymph has worked for me with tenkara and western. Love it.
