Love thy neighbor! This is how
it’s done. #Minneapolis
In South Minneapolis, Minnesota, nearly two dozen neighbors confronted and surrounded ICE goons after rapid-response alerts were issued. The goons were questioning an East African man when the situation escalated, and they eventually left the area without making any arrests.

My constituent, Wilmer, was mauled by an ICE attack dog despite the fact that, as he has consistently explained, he was not resisting arrest or trying to flee—his wife and young children, all U.S. citizens, were forced to watch helplessly as Wilmer was violently attacked and dragged away.

The story of Jesus being born in a small barn was *always* political… reimagining it these ways brings the story alive for our times like it was alive 2000 years ago. #Nativity #ICE
In the Nativity scene outside Lake Street Church, Mary and Joseph are wearing gas masks, Jesus is nestled in a reflective blanket with his hands bound with zip ties, and behind the family stands three Roman centurions wearing vests with a very modern label: ICE. religionnews.com/2025/12/05/i...
ICE Nativity scenes: Churches reimagine Christmas story amid deportations
(RNS) — 'We know that Jesus was born into a Roman imperial occupation, and pretty much immediately becomes a refugee in Egypt, has to flee and faces political violence,' the Rev. Michael Woolf said.

World AIDS Day 🧵… the tragedy of HIV/AIDS became even more tragic this year because of the authoritarian “let them die” callousness of DOGE and Trump. 💔💔💔
A mentor-to-be of mine (Philip Yenawine) created A Day Without Art as part of the Visual AIDS collective in 1989. A day to honor the loss of brilliance as a result of the epidemic. 1/x

This year, Trump cancelled recognition of World AIDS Day, today, & cuts to funding worldwide have consequences.

Department of Defense Law of War Manual, Sec. 18.3.2.1 states the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders.

What’s its key example? Wait for it . . . It’s "orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

Creating a military conflict with Venezuela gives this administration a legal "hook" to invoke the Alien Enemies Act. In other words, the foreign war is being manufactured in order to facilitate court deference for its domestic mass deportation policy. It's a Stephen Miller Special.

Demolishing the East Wing of the White House before finalizing plans for what will be built above its ruins is a near-perfect metaphor for Trump's approach to economic policy. The only difference is the wrecking crew doesn’t claim the rubble is evidence of unprecedented growth.

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.

The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

This administration only supports religious faith when it fits neatly into their authoritarian plans. Cheering on these faith groups in their cases (as well as the big immigration enforcement one my faith is part of!)
NEW from me: Catholic clergy, nuns sue Trump admin over Communion access for ICE detainees.

All told, more than 60 religious groups/denominations and ~10 religious professionals have sued the Trump admin this year. This lawsuit adds one more group, four more clergy. religionnews.com/2025/11/20/c...

Transgender people and intersex people are beloved children of God. And don't just take my word for it, take all these Christian, Jewish, and Unitarian Universalist religious groups' word for it. People who use religion to scapegoat and oppress folks are missing the whole point of their faith.

I met Larry Summers when he was president of Harvard and he struck me as a socially inept, disrespectful toad of a person That was before he went on about women being worse at math and science and got pushed out by the faculty.
You just know that “Did Women Ruin the Workplace?” bit would have done NUMBERS in this little clique
Something absolutely perfect about Larry Summers riffing about the scourge of woke cancel culture being unfair to predatory men in a friendly email to his pal JEFFREY EPSTEIN.
