Earlier, I spotted a snake with tiny gorgons for hair. When I looked at her, the pebble in my pocket turned to flesh.

It's hard to grasp how large this grouper is until you see it in comparison to the ship's toilet on the left.

This appears to be an Atlantic goliath grouper or 'itajara' (Epinephelus itajara). They can reach 800 lbs (350 kg) & 8 feet long (2.5 m)

Let's talk about these gentle giants.

With most psychedelic drugs, you never know what you're going to get. But this mysterious mushroom from China - without fail - causes users to hallucinate tiny people: crawling up walls, popping out from under furniture and marching under doors. www.bbc.com/future/artic...
'They saw them on their dishes when eating': The mushroom making people hallucinate dozens of tiny humans
Only recently described by science, the mysterious mushrooms are found in different parts of the world, but they give people the same exact visions.

Washington State residents: they’re trying to pull online age verification bullshittery here too. This bill would require people to upload their ID/credit card to view online adult content. You can complain to your reps here: app.leg.wa.gov/pbc/bill/2112

BYD needs a car shaped like a 2003 Subaru Outback so future generations have something to put 17 “Keep Honking” bumper stickers on.

This is an AI-free, entirely open-access resource to help combat the slop currently inundating the internet. Please help me keep it growing!
The Animal Photo Reference Repository is open access and will always be free for everyone to use. All funding for the project comes from donations - throw a coin to your photographer?

Bring back the idea that there's stuff it's rude to ask people about and none of your business (why are you masking, why aren't you drinking, etc.)
Also, never ask someone why they're wearing a mask! Just don't! You're not entitled to people's health info!

I really want to set this project up to succeed: we need to create the GenAI-free future we want to see in the world, and this is my bit.

For it to grow in ways users are requesting (taking donations of photos, additional web features) requires some outside expertise. Signal boosts appreciated.
As upgrades to the Repository setup continue, I need to consult a couple of experts to do it right.

If anyone in the community is a lawyer with knowledge of American copyright law, or a professional fundraiser, please reach out! I am limited on funding for consults but will pay for expert advice.

Seeing people use generative AI is extremely embarrassing. They're like tiny children being given controllers that aren't plugged into the gaming system and they're smashing buttons shouting, "I'm winning!" Only they're adults, fully capable of playing but they want the unplugged controller.

Techbros seem to love Tolkien, so here's an analogy to help you understand what genAI is.

GenAI is The One Ring. You think your use is justified, b/c you don't have evil in your heart.

But it came from evil, it is intended for evil purpose, & anything you do with it will be twisted to that end.
