I stumbled across this image while looking for some Creative Commons content. This is what I envision many communities will look like as more and more data centers continue to invade these towns. Who needs water anyway?

I don’t understand. I am watching a movie on Disney+. I pay a subscription fee and yet it is being interrupted by commercials. I want to watch a long form movie with no gaps. Why the hell am I paying them for this?

I’ve been on the platform since it was Twittr at Odeo. My main account started in 2006. But there is no reason for me to hold on to it. Almost twenty full years and I’ve watched it decline through each and every one of them. These past few have been ridiculous. But I tried to hang on. That’s on me.

Re: ads in mobile games. I don’t mind them. What I loathe is multiple timers to get past them. If the developers think this helps me focus on the ad content, they’re mistaken. I’m ADHD. My only goal is to click everything it takes until I get to the X. I never know what the ad is about.

How many of you don’t watch a series you’d like to watch because of the ridiculous commercials (same one over & over!) on some streaming services? Do you refuse to pay yet another upgrade to remove commercials (which don’t get removed)? It’s out of control. Let’s go back to terrestrial broadcasts.

Forcing artificial intelligence (often an oxymoron) upon us is getting out of control.
Let ME choose. I have ignored prompts on my iPhone to activate. Now, Google forces Gemini on us in Gmail. No options to dismiss. We can either "continue" or "learn more." And then it's in our sidebar. NO THANKS!

I've unsubscribed to all but one Substack. Recently, my email began to blow up from new subscriptions I didn't choose. "Recommended by an account you follow." No, thanks. I work two careers. I haven't the time for content I didn't actively choose. Settings changed. Subscriptions minimized.

Anyone else with #adhd find their head pounding and nerves firing when someone else is narrating their to-do list out loud? Maybe it’s just me, but it’s not like I don’t have an inner voice already bugging the $#!+ out of me. #neurodivergent

I have been hesitant to post on this platform. I had hoped it to be an escape from vitriol found on others. Instead I’ve found it to be an echo chamber of collective negative energy. I’m going to find ways to bring some positive energy & light. Not sure what those will be, but my gears are turning.

This. Hold your ground. Be specific.
Takes notes….
Publisher: Do you want to put an LLM clause in the copyright statement?
Me: Definitely. How specific can we get?
Publisher: As specific as you like.

Well this is fucked. And good for @kibblesmith.com for kicking this to the curb. But this shit is insidious.
Abominable.

I’ve been working on a series for solo acoustic musician Michael Nichols. The books are titled SOLO ACOUSTIC MUSICIAN. Imagine that! They help coach the novice to find work and to help the seasoned player improve their business. Book 3 is in progress with Book 4 soon to follow. #guitars #musicians

Started my account at Twittr/Twitter in 2006. Watching it slowly burn as it spirals down the drain as Brand X. Will BlueSky last? I’ve seen many of these come and go over the past 17 years. Oh well, I’m here to find out.

Amazon US are doing a Black Friday deal on The Sandman book 1. 560 pages down from $29.99 to $13.40. Obviously I'd prefer that you bought it from an independent book or comic shop. And obviously I know some of you are on a budget where this could make a difference.
