Honestly something which really seems to have gotten worse in recent years is people mistaking "oh this isn't to my tastes" with "this is an awful thing that nobody could ever enjoy."

Very sad to see On Spec go.

They ran a great magazine and the one story I ran with them was a great experience.

They brought a lot to the SFF scene.

Gutted about On Spec. They were my first publishing venue that wasn't a school magazine/university magazine/teens' writing competition, and the editing there was always friendly, helpful and supportive.

Absolutely. I do find it incredibly frustrating that the creative arts, in all it's forms, is one of the areas the UK is still absolutely incredible in, it brings in billions, and successive governments seemingly hate it?

Last week I got bronze in the over 100kg Pro Division at the British open.

I won British over 30's earlier in the year and wanted to challenge myself.

One no show, one loss and a dominant win against a giant means I'm pretty happy!
