It doesn't take an expert to understand how bad this is. More great reporting from @lizzylawrence.bsky.social

FDA review staff was excluded from voting on whether to approve first priority voucher drug
Top officials like Vinay Prasad and George Tidmarsh voted on the drug, a major break from the FDA's typical practice.

Service members do have a duty to refuse illegal orders

All Americans have a 1st Amendment right to say that out loud.

The Trump administration is turning drug review into make-a-deal
“FDA decision-making may be reduced to a sequence of ‘make-a-deals’ with Trump, his FDA, or even political allies,” experts warn.

Trump has murdered at least 83 people with extrajudicial military strikes on alleged drug-trafficking boats.

He needs to face consequences for this.

His secretary of DHHS, RFK Jr., will kill several orders of magnitude more with this disinformation.
This is completely disgusting. Today, the CDC updated their vaccine safety page. It now says:

“The claim "vaccines do not cause autism" is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism”.

The official CDC website on autism and vaccines is now a screed of cherry-picked data and conspiratorial thinking claiming that actually vaccines *might* cause autism.

This is where we’re at folks…

ADC resistance is likely heterogeneous, and the phenomena above may explain only a portion of cases. But these early clues can inform prospective trail efforts, as well as ADC sequencing strategies. There is much more to come!

One of their arguments is that unlike previous generations of AI tutors, LLMs have the full context window of the conversation and that’s better understand what a student knows and doesn’t know.

My quote of the day

Leadership is solving problems. The day soldiers stop bringing you their problems is the day you have stopped leading them. They have either lost confidence that you can help or concluded you do not care. Either case is a failure of leadership.
