Owner of a 5 year migraine
I grew up in Michigan where a foot of snow was pretty typical in a winter. I was born during a blizzard, even.

It's no longer common for that much snow here in SW PA, tho.
We're gonna be hit by two fronts meeting each other, dropping predicted 12-18 in.
Hoping the power stays on.

There's a lot going on rn but

for those about to get hit by this storm? Please be safe. Please prioritize your well-being over pushy bosses asking if you can come in.
Please stay warm and dry, and help your neighbors be warm and dry, too.

I can raise one of my eyebrows.
Somehow this week's botox locked in the singular raised eyebrow so I just am walking around looking suspicious of everyone and everything.

Never had this happen before.

I can't get over the French for "Stone Age" being "the age of Pierre."
🚨FLASH : on a retrouvé une manette de l'âge de pierre, indiquant que nos ancêtres jouaient déjà aux jeux vidéos.

Currently all of my doctors aside from my PCP are booking at LEAST 5 months out, and some are booking over a year out.

I live in a city with a robust medical landscape. I can't imagine what it's like rn with rural providers.
A bunch of my doctors apparently have new schedules going into the new year and have had to reschedule with me, fucking up other appointments and carefully planned weeks.

My psych's office rescheduled me from January to May, which I don't think is great, honestly, but what can I do?

I don't think I'll ever use social media as much as I used to, but just know that if we became friends on here, we are -still- friends. I still have my notifs on, and if you need me please never be afraid to reach out.

My endocrinologist is scheduling more than a year out, if anyone wants to know what the medical wait times in the US are like.

My migraine specialist? 7 months out.

My FND specialist? Moved, nobody filled her role.

I'm in an urban area with one of the largest healthcare systems in the US.

I've been working on undoing the neurological mess I became after living under the people upstairs for 3 years.

My body got so used to the constant adrenaline that I am barely able to function now without it.

Sleeping so much.

Walking to the kitchen is a struggle.

Ozzie got up on the sink last night while I was peeing and decided he was going to brush his teeth with Sora's toothbrush.

It is now his toothbrush (Sora has a new one) and he actually uses it.

My cat taught himself to brush his teeth.

'07 draft picks looking great tonight with goals by Kane and JVR for a win over The Kraken by the Red Wings.

Solid, action filled game. Just wish Larks hadn't taken that puck to the face.

Convinced Comcast says just about any outage is "maintenance" aka "planned service outage" so they can avoid bill credits that would be owed.

If they're "planned" why am I never notified about them?
