Reminds me of this engineer we talked to on our anniversary when we did the bridge tour in Japan, who was doing tours of it in his retirement. Dude spoke decent English, loved his job, loved bridges, loved to talk about it, and thus we loved to talk to him about the bridge.
Its easier to be likeable when you love your job and you get excited for free childcare because you love kids, as opposed to 'my advisors have told me means tested pre-k is popular with 65% of voters, so we will be doing that' before fucking off to a donor party.

I am always concerned about how sex workers are often treated like they need to be 'rescued', like yes, the children? Of course, maybe don't put 'em in handcuffs though ya fuckin' ghouls. But 'rescuing' people from sex work often feels similar to conversion therapy 'rescuing' queer people.
