For those not in the know: Aggro in parties only accrues if you yourself do something to acquire it, it isn't given to the whole party immediately. So if you don't heal anyone or attack the monsters, they'll kill the player, then de-aggro, and you can rez them safely and not have to deal with 5 mobs

I love game mechanics that are best handled by something fundamentally opposed to the instincts of the players. Luring traps at high end Deep Dungeon floors are best handled by letting the player who triggered it run away and just die, then rezzing them. But your first instinct is to help them out.

Even bad games have something to show us and are worth analyzing, but analyzing Hades II because its not a deconstruction or deep dive into Greek mythology seems like someone wandered into a pizza place and was upset about the quality of their donuts.

The Nobel Peace Prize 2025 has been awarded to Venezuelan democracy activist María Corina Machado.

The Nobel Committee recognised her “struggle to achieve a just & peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy.”

In other words, exactly the opposite of what Trump is doing to the United States.

Like, Hades is a roguelike first and foremost, which already limits character depth, the gods are there to give some passing story and flavorful interactions, but they're not characters that follow you around like an RPG party you can engage with or big bads to be defeated.

I always think its weird when people expect X from a game, the game is intended to do Y, and they ding it for not being what they expected. Its always one of the key parts I look at when writing up a game: What did the game set out to do, and did it succeeds?

A big problem with adapting stuff like that is getting the vibe right, and then you can add in bespoke mechanics. Rogue Trader has the same vibe, switch giant family ship for grappler easily enough, and each person has a 'role' on the ship. Then you can just have some specialized gear be caster weps
