I've been trying to find the smallest hour-long MIDI file that contains a single note. I'm down to 44 bytes. Any experts out there who can help me shave it down?

According to the article "Inharmonicity of the copy of Antonius Stradivarius violin" it would take 80'20" of sustaining an open D string for the sounding 2nd partial to vary by 1 vibration from the exact doubling of the fundamental frequency.
So now I have something to look forward to doing tomorrow

New Focus has released my album of Pier Francesco Valentini's "Canone nel Nodo de Salamone" from 1631. It's a canon for potentially infinite voices. This album is a version for 1024, recorded by myself and some of my most treasured collaborators.

Here is a link to send a letter to UC Regents, Governor Newsom, and to UC President Milliken, urging them to resist the extortion of the federal government... to seek legal recourse, provide interim research funding sources, and refuse any settlement.
