Just like Twitter? #Incendiary. #Divisive. #Disruptive. #Winning. Pro-climate, pro-democracy, anti-fascist. Founder,
@climatehawkvote. DNC delegate 2020-24. Chair, California Democratic Party's environmental caucus.
Sorta obvious outcome: AIPAC and Justice Dems/ PALPAC, representing candidates 2 and 3, snipe at each other while candidate 1 skates unscathed

Biss - 31%
Fine - 18%
Abughazaleh - 18%
Simmons - 7%
Andrew - 7%
Amiwala - 4%
Huynh - 2%
Someone else - 2%
Undecided - 11%

I just canceled my @washingtonpost.com subscription. The same $120/year is paying for half the journalists, because Bezos laid off the other half. TBH I was on the fence until this pair of headlines, one about the three way-warmest years ever, the second celebrating inability to act on climate.

I see that the Minnesota de-escalation is going well, if by de-escalation you mean that ICE is only using guns to threaten, terrify, and intimidate citizens instead of murdering them.
happening this morning in Minneapolis -- ICE agents drawing guns on observers. I reiterate again that it is only a matter of time before DHS kills more innocent people in Minnesota. Congress needs to shut this shit down right now.

earlier today, I did an interview with Politico California Climate on San Jose Matt Mahan's entry into the #CAGov race, and I predicted that my 30 minute interview would be boiled down to 3 words. And... #NailedIt! #BigYawnMeh

y'all have heard of redboxing -- campaigns' coded messages to their SuperPACs often found on website "media" page? This is the 1st I've seen redboxing in a debate as a plea for the Abundance Bros to fund Xavier Becerra, please, I'm begging you.
<10 seconds into his first response, Becerra immediately namechecks "abundance" in the context of persuading the 30% of Californians who aren't on board with clean energy.

Definitely agree with XB disqualification...and $39,200 max contribution from Chevron also disqualifies XB.
Katie Porter won: 1) reduce emissions 2) increase resilience 3) climate justice. Xavier Becerra is disqualified because of his "everyone at the table" tagline. Tom Steyer is disqualified because of carbon capture. Eric Swalwell is disqualified because of fusion.

Fact check; true.
Wow, responding to a question about rooftop solar, Porter calls out the California Public Utilities Commission, says Californians don't believe it's working for them.

#CAGov forum, nearly an hour in, a big question on Make Polluters Pay. Steyer answers 1st: yes, he would push this. (He told me last night that he'd sign the bill)
Porter: polluters need to pay full cost.
Becerra: freeze rates on utilty and insurance bills, get everyone inc polluters at the table.

hey folk, help me collect Dem elected/ candidate statements on ICE. Not looking for emotional responses, just how they'd vote. Spectrum so far:
-- Jacqui Irwin running for #CA26: cut ICE budget
-- Mike McGuire running for #CA01: block funding
-- Betty Yee, running for #CAGov: "not another cent"

Great turnout, estimate 500 to 600 people on less than 24 hours notice, against ICE in sleepy Thousand Oaks, California. #ICEOut #AbolishICE

This useless DINO - @gluesenkampperez.house.gov - voted to fund ICE just days ago - earlier this week.

Just a craven and shameless grifter who doesn’t belong in Congress. 🗑️

Thx Kyle Rohrbach, #CA26 candidate aka Good Kyle, for reminding me of Jacqui Irwin vote on SB627 vote to require ICE agents to show their faces.

NVR = no vote recorded, aka abstain

just had a very long and frustrating call with my Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin, now running for Congress in #CA26. She ended up apologizing to me A LOT.

We can do better, Ventura County.

comments on the succssion to Rep. Julia Brownley, #CA26, following her retirement announcement. District mostly overlaps with Ventura County. Appreciate all she's done for women veterans and all of us. I walked my feet off for her in 2012, and I'm a longtime Vta County resident. 🧵time!

so Speaker Johnson got all of Congress together last night to authorize war on Venezuela? @seancasten.bsky.social did you know about this or did your invitation get lost in the mail?
January 3, 2026 at 4:20 PM

Stuck in OHare for 4 hours on a flight delay. Seated immediately behind a toddler who screamed the whole flight. Now stuck leaving LAX. I think this qualifies as Third Level of Airport Hell?
