The writers have done a spectacular job this season revamping their fascinating "Marjorie Taylor Greene" character. The suspense over what she will do next is compelling. A lot of things are going on with MTG, maybe some good, others bad, and we won't know exactly what for two or more seasons.

Rent free in my head. Short lived wholesomeness. Amplifies that old man Trump isn't in control of anything, he just impulsively reacts to whoever he last spoke to.
Now let's focus on Miller et al.
Trump is now defending Mamdani in response to loaded questions from Fox News. incredible scenes

2 and a bit episodes in on Plur1bus, and it's good! Morality, consequence, community, philosophy, the human condition, a twist on the classic bodysnatchers trope. Seehorn and Gilligan reunite and delight.

There is a direct line between Donald Trump trying to destroy the BBC and him excusing the brutal murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Trump hates the independent free press – whether in the US, Saudi Arabia or the UK. We will always defend it.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

Reading Nick Lowles great book, How To Defeat the Far Right, and I don't know guys, some of the community organising to coalesce the anti-racist movement could kind of be used against Labour MPs espousing its current immigration policies...And I never thought I would say that about a Labour Party.

Flagshaggers are never going to vote Labour, no matter how many gold teeth they pull, the rest of the country is pretty sickened by the pandering to racists/failure to get a grip on the cost of living, everyone’s going Green/LibDem, so it seems that Labour are only appealing to themselves now.

Marjorie Taylor Greene getting schooled on leopards and face eating, apparently.

Listening to Tim Curry narrate his audiobook memoir, Vagabond - marginally hindered vocally by his 2012 stroke, but so eloquent, intelligent & fiendishly fun. I had forgotten he's a fellow alumni of Birmingham University; separated by years & disciplines, but lovely to imagine him in the same spaces

Going old school this week! #Cassunday. With "liquid" and "Y2K" drum & bass as popular as ever with today's generations, I've pulled out a tape from an old Muzik magazine: a sampler of artists from the label Metalheadz - many of whom I saw live back in the 1990s.

Interesting to see so many great British patriots right now begging an American president to bankrupt one of Britain’s last remaining truly national institutions.

Crazy suggestion. As Farage sees zero value in the BBC, wants to defund and destroy it, and is encouraging Trump to sue every single UK license fee payer - how about the BBC never platform him again. That's it, done. Stop having him on Newsnight, Today, everything. Consign him to GBNews.

This would have held more weight if [checks notes] Trump hadn't subsequently pardoned the violent rioters who DID in fact break into, attack, and defecate inside, the Capitol building - which led to the deaths of both rioters and law enforcement officers. The edit was stupid, but the result = same.
Altering the speech "did give the impression of a direct call for violent action," BBC chair Samir Shah admits.
