ok but they themselves along with all humans need to be vegan too (avoid supporting animal farming where possible), as animal farming is at least as terrible for the climate (and also deforestation, antibiotic resistance, pandemics, pollution, resource hoarding and direct suffering).

It’s all about money and special interests. I suspect if a good investigative journalist were to look into it they’d find that those who want the hunting have supported the politicians backing it, financially or otherwise. What a shame that there aren’t enough journalists chasing stories like this.

The outrage is sadly misplaced. Far more people should be outraged that billions of land animals and trillions of sea animals are needlessly tortured and killed each year to satisfy nothing more than a whim…taste pleasure…at a devastating cost to not only the animals but the planet.

Far, far too much of the veterinarian community exists solely to support the animal agriculture industry. If they had to take an oath like the Hippocratic Oath (don’t know if they do or not) they break that oath daily…all for…you guessed it…money.
