#violence
So much of ICE and CBP’s violence is just them doing the violence — no even pretense that they’re under threat or that force is justified. They’re using pepper spray and tear gas to express annoyance.
Tonight at 8:30 PM our constituent Ricky was pepper sprayed by ICE on 18th & Polk. 2 agents parked their car, got out and approached observers, started pepper spraying Ricky on public property, and then drove away and left.

Nothing is changing on the ground in Minnesota. ICE must be abolished.

This Claremont twit is so fearful of “wine moms” with cell phones and whistles that he’s demanding Trump crush them with violence.

Or rather, more violence.

It's a tell for his love of violence.
In his first National Prayer Breakfast speech, in 2017, Trump went on this deranged sidebar about ISIS and “the cutting off of heads”

the number of academics who were in touch with Epstein really puts the (elite) backlash to Title IX's enforcement against sexual violence into perspective.
DiChristina also invited Epstein to attend an editorial meeting for the Scientific American, where she worked as editor-in-chief.

Correspondence from 2010 also showed DiChristina on a guest list for a meeting on “the islands,” though it was not immediately clear what Epstein meant by “islands.”

Mariette DiChristina, dean of Boston University’s College of Communication, corresponded extensively with Jeffrey Epstein in 2014 and 2015. The two set up a one-on-one meeting, had “phone dates” and D...

The GOP has offered nothing this century except for catastrophic wars. No healthcare plan; no re-industrialization. Now they're losing their only issue, immigration, as people see the violence and havoc that comes with mass deportations.
Wow! What sounded like the entire AEW Dynamite audience in Las Vegas tonight chanted "Fuck ICE! Fuck ICE!" in unison before the main event

Things are grim but I believe the assholes have overreached. All they have is violence and intimidation and they're up against righteous anger, mutual aid, popular opinion, and *there are more of us than them.* Violence and intimidation are *not enough.*

Hold fast, stay tight. We can win.

What a luxury it must be to be able to look at systemic violence and think “it’s a distraction”.

This is political violence, and we should all begin referring to it as such.

FWIW this is more or less how white conservatives destroyed multiracial democracy after emancipation. That & paramilitary violence, but of course they would never... oh yeah they're doing that too.
Here's @rickhasen.bsky.social detailing the scenario in which Trump uses search warrant to seize ballot boxes in a contested 2026 locale. This is more worrisome than ICE at the polls. Hasen also suggests ways to act against this now.

It's harrowing stuff:

"Ouin la violence des jeux videos"😭

Par un type qui a normalisé la mutilation irreversible de manifestants
Dont les ministres de l'intérieur ont minimisé voire excusé et couvert les meurtres de jeunes (et moins jeunes) racisés et la violence et l'impunité de ses outils de domination

C'est cocasse!

Literally like bullies whose whole approach is intimidating their victims into complying through the threat of violence while simultaneously being unable to back it up.

Fight them on EVERYTHING.

Right, Kristi Noem?

Celebrating the use of National Guard troops as props for authoritarian theater and (apparently fictional) lawless violence against imaginary members of Tren de Aragua.
Trump at the Natl Prayer Breakfast on National Guard troops in DC: "They took Tren de Aragua, & honestly I don't want to say this, but they beat the crap out of them. They beat the crap out of them. They found they were doing bad things and Tren de Aragua didn't want anything to do with these guys."

If ICE agents didn't wear masks, they would be FAMOUS for all the wrong reasons. So if you wanna see mass resignations, prevent them from wearing masks.

That said, abolishing ICE is the only way to truly prevent more violence, harm and murder.
