To me, any NHL season in which the Habs don't meet the Bruins in the playoffs should be considered unofficial and the Stanley Cup "winner" should be designated with an asterisk because the essential ingredient, Habs vs Bruins in a best-of-seven, was missing.

6 games: Dartmouth mens hockey has still not conceded a 1st period goal.

For a chance, they also haven't scored one.

0-0 at Clarkson after 1.

Mens hockey: Dartmouth 4, St. Lawrence 0 after 2 periods.

Big Green with 2 shorthanded goals 13 seconds apart in the 2nd period.

This guy has no principles whatsoever.
JD Vance: "I serve under Donald Trump, who is very healthy. If I served under Joe Biden, I'd probably be worried every minute of every day that he was gonna croak and that I'd have to become president."

Susan Collins should retire due to ill health--the voters are sick of her.

And she (and this initiative) got fucking stomped.
Maine lawmaker Laurel Libby, a Republican, offers no evidence of fraud or misconduct to suggest Maine elections are insecure. She has championed the upcoming ballot measure to restrict mail voting, as she says current rules cannot be trusted.
A Ballot Measure Targets Mail Voting in Maine
Question 1, on the November ballot, would set up a barrage of new restrictions on absentee ballots. This would considerably affect older voters and people with disabilities.

Taunting Laurel Libby on Facebook that her own district voted overwhelmingly against everything she's publicly supported was petty.

But I have no regrets.

(Perhaps this shows her that she's not taken seriously anywhere in Maine, and running for governor would be a tragic mistake)

I'm reposting this fellow because it's a good example of how people believe this stuff basically have a cartoon-level understanding of history and how things work. (Meaning, not a very good understanding.)

Maybe Tom could buy us acuppajoe for doing the daily grind (YSWIDT) of dealing with the never-ending stream of FD fetishists, virtually none of whom have ever read the damned thing and for the ones who cite AI, a nice piece of pie to go with.
Do you have any idea how many times, right here on Bluesky, I've debunked that stuff about the Fairness Doctrine, and explained why I think conservative media succeeded? I can't keep rolling that same rock up the same hill.

The person most responsible for the decline in Shawn McBreairty's mental health was....Shawn McBreairty. He chose the life of a demagogue hoping to parlay that into being a major MAGA celeb (without the talent necessary to do it)

JD Vance is simply using the prejudices he hopes workers have to push his boss' agenda, which he may or may not even believe in.

This feckless clown will say or do anything as long as he believes it advances his chance of being President. (I really hope that never happens)
JD Vance claims that diversity weakens unions, as people end up distrusting each other and not organizing.

Let me tell you two menswear stories related to this claim. 🧵

ATTORNEYS: A question.

I am pretty sure that informing other people of general activities of law enforcement is free speech and not aiding and abetting.

But I'm not completely sure. Am I correct? (Prompted by idea to set up hotline to warn about ICE in Maine).

I have a hard time with "this isn't who I am now" type statements when some of the comments are 3-4 years old.
“Betcha not a single downvoter is a real combat vet. Feel free to back it up with facts, fags,” Graham Platner wrote on a 2018 Reddit thread. There are half a dozen more antigay comments attributable to him.

It gets tiring explaining the Pickering-Connick test to rubes who claim to respect the 1st Amendment but absolutely don't when it comes to "person with views I don't like not being fired by an extension of the government."

But I still try b/c 1) It annoys them and 2) People should understand this.

Yes, Mike, we know. Trump hated things like the hoi polloi expressing their feelings about him.
Mike Johnson: "The irony was that they called it the No Kings Rally, but if President Trump was a king, the government would be open. If President Trump was a king, he would've closed the nationals parks and the National Mall so they couldn't of had the rally out here."
