Did Will Lewis write this?
Analysis: Weeks before he set foot on the stage, Bad Bunny’s halftime performance had already become a media event.

But if you were looking for political commentary, the closest that you got was when he said “God bless America” in English.
Analysis | Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show was expected to provoke. Did it?
The Bad Bunny Super Bowl show nodded to injustices in Puerto Rico but mostly evoked wholesome family values that meshed with the more sentimental commercials.

This is super cool.
I made a map of 3.4 million Bluesky users - see if you can find yourself!

I've seen some similar projects, but IMO this seems to better capture some of the fine-grained detail

I pretty religiously avoid advertisements and I think anybody who does any streaming stuff also pays to avoid them, so I have to think the talent pool for people who produce advertisements that no one watches has gotten much, much smaller.
Seriously though, why are ads on TV so soul-crushingly shitty these days? Am I just being an old person & imagining that things used to be better? Has anyone done any real analysis or writing about this?

It's a curious thing. Media cares about this stuff (big numbers) to drive *perceived* relevance, but the actual people who *pay for advertising* do not. That is, having big numbers is all some media companies want, but it's hollow without what *actual advertisers* pay for.

The loophole? Govt $$$
Just for reference on the TPUSA halftime show.

Does anybody even know the name of the intern that NBC had doing that PR piece with the President?

There's a whole series of emails where his wife is coordinating meeting them on the island over Christmas.

This is what Hess said: “It brings up mixed emotions to represent the US right now. I think it’s a little hard. There’s obviously a lot going on that I’m not the biggest fan of. Just because I wear the flag doesn't mean I represent everything that's going on in the US.”

Massie on Howard Lutnick: "He should just resign. Three people in Great Britain resigned for less than what we've seen Howard Lutnick lie about. He clearly went to the island, if we believe what's in these files. He was in business with Jeffrey Epstein."

So my hope is that after I've got all these things downloaded, I'll be able to build an interface where you can click on the image here and then see all the files that are associated with that person.

Can confirm.
A couple of things I heard yesterday (don’t take them as fact)

Hackers are trying to unredact the Epstein files.

Other countries may be releasing evidence related to the files.

This also sucks.

The Factbook was very useful.

The Factbook survived the Cold War and became a hit online. It mixed quirky cultural notes and trivia with maps, data, and photos taken by CIA officers. But it was discontinued this week.

The law says that all Americans should have this privilege.
Members of Congress will be able to begin reviewing the unredacted digital version of the Justice Department’s files on Jeffrey Epstein on Monday morning.

Members of Congress — but not their staff — upon 24 hrs notice, may take notes but can’t bring in any electronic devices.

Has anyone seen Howard Lutnick since the last Epstein drop showed he lied about everything?
February 7, 2026 at 2:19 PM
Epstein gave $50,000 when they gave Lutnick an award in 2017!!

It's in the files!

This guy is soooo dirty.

I hope Dems begin to see that moderate or progressive, AIPAC is not our friend.

They endorse January 6th insurrectionists. Yet if you so much as suggest the US uphold its own Leahy laws, no matter your record, they will work against you.

That repressible video is something that 15 years ago would only have been shared by the bleeding edge of the most racist people on Facebook; today it was shared by a sitting president of the United States.
