Markets are down but hey, great day to dump any lagging fossil fuel energy stocks you have and buy some high-value techies like Microsoft, Apple or my new favorite, Costco. Or any industrial German company really :)

Love a good data visualization 💡
Do US states with more renewable energy have more expensive electricity?

Despite California always being in the headlines for this, full state-by-state data says no.

Everyone asks me if sustainability is over, but they are really asking how will the future be better? Invest in AI? Place bets on legacy tech like fossil fuels?

I’m placing a bet on sustainability delivering the growth and stability that economies so desperately need

All NIH studies cancelled, young republican men not going to college because it’s “woke”…

I did have this thought: if I WERE AI and wanted to take over, I would steer humans away from education and have them locked into their screens so I could manipulate them. It’d honestly be a great plan.

Policy can make a difference.

This is amazing, and unlikely to divert significantly because the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) make economic sense, most of all in red states.

Again > sustainability is how we unlock the next era of economic growth.

Oil and gas is a 140+ year industry that has been optimized to its limit, offering minimal if any growth opportunities.

Vs. renewables that have almost unlimited innovation potential (battery storage, resilient grids, etc).

Sustainability is economic growth.
