#BlackHistoryMonth is always a wonderful excuse to share my all-time favourite team photo. 📷

This is the mighty - and very cool - #Luton United #Cricket Club in 1974. ❤️🏏

Personally I'd like to see the outside of the Arndale cladded to look like a medieval castle, with some turrets on top of the car park. The station side Bute Street entrance could have a gatehouse, portcullis and drawbridge.

Indeed, anybody who has any sort of control should always be accountable.

Crazy decisions? Like Power Court or The Brache? Like John Still or Nathan Jones? Like saving the club in 2007 and taking it through 5 divisions to the EPL? A terrible 18 months on the pitch granted, but "crazy decisions"?

But you said the board need to go, without any reference to who you'd want to replace them. They're all Luton supporters, and some of them have dug deep in their own pockets so you can still watch your team on a Saturday. You really want that board to go?

I still class that as young!

I bet Mike Ashley is licking his lips at the thought of buying up a club with a brand new stadium bang on his doorstep.

Some of our younger supporters really should check up on the club's history at board level.

When asked what policy he would prescribe in response to AI, @rbreich.bsky.social said Universal Basic Income. That's the 3-word correct answer. It's not the only thing we need, but it's the core. It's the foundation to build on. The more people say the same, the better. Mention UBI over and over.
Our response to Robert Reich prescribing Universal Basic Income as the policy response to AI. #UBI

As an aside, her brother - Joseph - has written a book based in Luton called The Thrill Of It All, and it's excellent!

What Starmer still hasn’t learned is that you can’t give different messages to different audiences and get away with it. The people at the Labour conference will also hear what he says in the Sun.

The best thing on any social media is when people share The Simpsons moments.

what's the stupidest/randomest Simpsons quote that lives in your head rent free? Mine is the urge to say "you said go to bread" every time I am about to head to bed.

Farage is the very definition of a racist.

Genuinely baffled by Keir Starmer's refusal to describe Nigel Farage as a racist.

The evidence for this is overwhelming. The founder of UKIP, Alan Sked, quit the party because of Farage's racism.

The far right won't be defeated unless we are honest about what it is.

He also sounds remarkably like Rachel Reeves.

I left on 70 minutes. Again. Please do something to stop me leaving on 70 minutes.

The decision to drop him when he'd started to score is, unfortunately, one of the less baffling decisions this season.

Oh, this is one of the saddest things I have read for some time.
There is no art in this White House. There is no literature or poetry in this White House. No music. No Kennedy Center award celebrations. There are no pets in this White House. No loyal man's best friend. No Socks the family cat. No kids' science fairs. No times when this president takes off his blue suit-red tie uniform and becomes human, except when he puts on his white shirt - khaki pants uniform and hides from Americans to play golf. There are no images of the first family enjoying themselves together in a moment of relaxation. No Obamas on the beach in Hawaii moments, or Bushes fishing in Kennebunkport, no Reagans on horseback, no Kennedys playing touch football on the Cape. I was thinking the other day of the summer when George H couldn't catch a fish and all the grand kids made signs and counted the fish-less days. And somehow, even if you didn't even like GHB, you got caught up in the joy of a family that loved each other and had fun. Where did that country go? Where did all of the fun and joy and expressions of love and happiness go? We used to be a country that did the ice bucket challenge and raised millions for charity.
We used to have a president that calmed and soothed the nation instead of dividing it. A First Lady that planted a garden instead of ripping one out. We are rudderless and joyless. We have lost the cultural aspects of society that make America great. We have lost our mojo. Our fun, our happiness. The cheering on of others. The shared experiences of humanity that makes it all worth it. The challenges that we shared and celebrated. The unique can-do spirit Americans have always been known for. We have lost so much in so short a time.
