America isn’t always big on promoting culture & the arts but my Russian teacher in high school drilled into us the importance of being a cultured person ❤️to read poetry & appreciate ballet because culture is what you take with you in education - culture feeds your soul ❤️❤️

- again as a working class kid I’m so grateful my Russian teacher exposed us to ballet by getting us ushering spots at our local nutcracker - and that Tchaikovsky was part of our curriculum in high school
