I started playing them because I just kind of wanted to prove they aren’t as hard as those players want to make them out to be and actually started liking them after my previous failures to start the first Dark Souls.

Fromsoft players are like... damaged. Speaking as someone who loves the games, the community is insufferable in their attitude that the game has a "right" way to be played. (Probably born from the "Its so hard!" circle jerk early coverage/marketing of DS1 spawned)
