Franklin County Commissioner Erica Crawley appears to be running a puppy mill out of her downtown apartment.

So we have that going for us, which is nice.

Ramaswamy buying the Schottenstein shanty for $15 million makes a lot more sense when you learn why Jay Schottenstein would need cash:

Today’s Rooster double feature:

- Obtained text message shows Tim Ryan shanked his political team *one hour* before he told the press

- Vivek Ramaswamy has agreed in principle to a massive real estate deal in Bexley

In the end, Tim Ryan proved his critics right
Plus, a notorious conman eyes a potential move to a squalid shanty in an affluent Columbus suburb.

the takeaway from the Zohran Trump meeting is that Trump is a gullible fool who will temporarily bend to the last charismatic person he talked to.

Zohran played him perfectly but that doesn’t mean Trump is good now. He’ll go back to fascism tomorrow morning after he talks to Stephen Miller

That’s the flaw in the Substack model, and why I am deeply thankful to every subscriber.

I hope that eventually we can return to like, a magazine model, and not ask consumers to have to shell out $10 a month to every single writer because it adds up quick.
Probably won't get many hits (me and my small potatoes account), but @mississippifreepress.org is doing yeoman's work back home, much to the chagrin of the entrenched good ol' boy network.
Oh, and @rooster.info up here is a constant burr in the Ohio Statehouse's saddle.
i promise i don’t mean to high horse this but if you’re thinking about giving lizza ten bucks there are a lot of good independent journalists whose work you could subscribe to for a month instead

The problem was, the way Ryan’s ego is set up, he only saw the top dog position as worthy of his vast talents.
I always felt he was better for running for any other statewide office like Treasurer because the Dem bench is so shallow, but I am glad we won't have to worry about him fucking up the Governor's race.

Tim Ryan was reportedly set to declare on Monday before one of his business clients called him, saying they faced nuclear pressure from the Trump Administration to drop him as a client.

It could also be an excuse for Ryan abandoning an uphill battle.

Tim Ryan comes to his senses, aborts gubernatorial dreams
It was a smart business decision that Ryan only came to this week, according to multiple sources.

The Ohio House of Representatives worked into the early hours of Thursday morning to pass a bunch of bullshit before hitting the bricks for a holiday break that could extend into February.

The #RemyFiles are here.

Among public humiliating his aide, Remy also made her take his children to school and perform pro-bono campaign work while running unopposed.

City Council President Shannon Hardin can do this one weird trick if he’s serious about bringing heightened transparency to City Hall.

And weirdly, the trick comes from the Republican-controlled Ohio Statehouse.

Nancy Day-Achauer, and to a lesser extent, Rob Dorans, can try to throw mud on the tactics that produced 100% ACCURATE REPORTING, but we wouldn’t have had to hold court in the street if they had leaked me the allegations in *June*when they learned about them.

Council President Shannon Hardin puts Councilman Emmanuel Remy ON BLAST for the toxic work behavior that led to a city payout, as The Rooster originally reported.

After 2.5 hours in Executive Session, Council reconvenes, only to vote to go into Zoning after a 10-minute recess.
Columbus City Council just voted to go into executive session to discuss multiple city settlements about to be paid out—including the $87.5K figure stemming from Emmanuel Remy's clown behavior.

Nancy Day-Achaeur is crying about my methods on FB but this is exactly why I forced the issue three Mondays ago.

The debate is happening in secret. The vote will be an emergency. And if you follow only traditional media, you have no idea it’s happening!!!

And Remy just won another 4-year term!!!
