Ukraine has absorbed and stood as a bulwark against Russian aggression. If it had surrendered quickly as Trump thought they should do, no doubt Putin would have made a next move, making all out WWIII much more likely.

With Witkoff as chief negotiator bending the knee (and more) to Putin it really is a case of having sent in the clowns. Comparisons with PM Chamberlain’s negotiations with Hitler are apt. The rest of the world must stand in solidarity with Ukraine.
