If only in the UK too
Ghent in Belgium has a car-free city centre, a modern tram and bus network, and plentiful walking and cycling routes.
On #WorldCitiesDay, what's your favourite city for its transport network?

One of my bat groups absolutely love this. We're tempted to all wear the tee shirts and protest outside Downing Street with bat calls on a loud hailer. 1000 big flags of this design carried about in protest would be epic. Let's make it happen 🦇🤓

Our government needs to wake up to the fact that they are not solving the housing crisis - they're just handing easier planning permissions to housebuilders.

Except it can't write laws by itself.

I wish everyone would actually read the Bill

and hurrah for a presumption in favour of community solar! That's good growth that everyone should support
For example, it mandates a presumption in favour of all community energy projects of <100MW and a presumption against all energy projects >100MW;

That "all activities in the UK" must comply with a 'nature hierarchy'

It also proposes a Citizen Assembly that can just write new laws by itself

The problem is not that environmentalists are legally challenging major infrastructure projects, it's that the projects being promoted need challenging environmentally.
