First time for days that we’ve seen anything even approaching a sunrise.
I can see why you love it. If only it could talk. Any thoughts on its age?
Wow. Even more impressive.
What a fab area you have for birds!
Distinctly blurred texture to this morning’s dawn.
Yes to this.
My sister’s first mammogram almost certainly saved her life by spotting signs of cancer that wouldn’t have been detected so early by any other means.
going for a boob squish (aka screening mammogram) today. because people talk about how awful it is, I was really pleasantly surprised at how much of a nothingburger it was for me the first time.

don't let other people's horror stories deter you from getting that first one!
The sea is out there somewhere.
North Devon coast this morning. Mild and flat calm.
Ooh, so do I.
I can't find a title for this glorious painting of autumn Aspen, but it's by Oregon based (Ukrainian born) artist, Anton Pavlenko, and I love it 💛

Shaggy Ink Caps.
Although it’s possible to see them throughout the summer, to me they always suggest autumn.
Lovely soft tones to this evening’s sunset over North Devon.
It’s out there but too far to the left to show in this picture. It’s often hard to distinguish from a bank of cloud!
Yep. Everyone’s dogs were enjoying it, as well. They’re allowed back on the beach through the winter.
North Devon this afternoon.
Big beach, big sky.
Now that the sun is setting further south in the sky, I get a view of the sunset as well as the sunrise.

North Cliffs, Cornwall. As a Cornishman, the thing I miss the most about my beloved Kernow is the rugged beauty of the granite cliffs and the pounding Atlantic Ocean. Walks along the cliff top by the heather and the brambles, the salt-scent of the ocean and the roaring breakers below. Joy. 😊

Mother Nature has some spectacular colours. Sulphur yellow lichen on a scrubby shrub on the clifftop this morning.
Not the finest picture I’ve ever taken, and I know someone will put me right if I’m wrong, but I think this little bird on the South West Coast Path in North Devon this morning was a Rock Pipit.
Garden spiders have incredibly intricate markings for such tiny creatures.
Pleased to see so many of them at the allotment.
Spectacularly colourful chard at RHS Rosemoor kitchen garden.
Almost deserted beach on a warm and calm late September afternoon in North Devon.
Simply incredible.
A bit of photo-serotonin for Monday - the jaw dropping plasticity of Salisbury Cathedral's Chapter House - over 700 years old.
