Just letting you know that a popular Australia male poster here & on the bird site - who has connections to a well known musician - has sent a female friend of mine unsolicited explicit DMs without her consent.

She had not communicated with him before & is very upset.

Be aware that he does this.

If the reason Linda Reynolds sued & bankrupted a rape victim was to save her reputation then she has spectacularly failed. She might have money but has no friends or credibility & her actions have only ever grown Brittany’s supporter base. Reynolds is no winner. #fatcow

Australian Influenza update:

It became clear during November that a unusual second wave of influenza is underway in Australia, driven by the new "clade K" (H3N2 clade 2a.3a.1, subclade K).

Tasmania, New South Wales and South Australia are currently the hardest-hit.

Were I in a govt that really cared about kids, I’d be banning new coal and gas mines with rather more fervour than the current ban on social media.

Probably wouldn’t get the same boasting front pages in the Herald Sun and Daily Telegraph though…
The November monthly temperatures have been released and 2025 looks set to be the 2nd hottest year on record.

Remember when warming apparently stopped in 1997?

That is more than 0.5C ago.

I repeat this is the most horrid. I don’t want this to fade into the news cycle.
It’s hard to fathom how a woman, living in her car, can park at a police station, go into a police station, and then be found dead and decomposing in her car at a police station days later. Not one person noticed and checked. Horrid.

Unusual?

Repeated COVID infections
Immune dysfunction
Low flu vaccine uptake

…yeah, super mysterious.
