I get that this is the start of Stephen Harper Nostalgia Week, but seriously? Housing prices doubled under Harper. Defence spending fell below 1% of GDP. "National identity" only mattered if you were an "old stock" straight white guy. Anything "better" was because the world wasn't going to shit.
