It’s been almost a decade since we made this longform about the Aberfan tragedy to mark the 50th anniversary of the disaster in 2016.

The thing that those who succeed Trump are going to have to battle with isn't *what* he did, but the fact he did just get things done. Mostly bad things, and mostly illegally - which is the problem.

Democracy will have to prove it can facilitate rapid change WITH effective oversight.
