Their ancestors also known as cave hyena … much larger than their descendants today, spotted hyena. But yep we have a few of the cave hyena/Ice Age spotted hyena roaming around the southern Irish landscape. Stay tuned for more about our research on these later next year!

While listening … am washing cave bones from our July excavation… holding a partial ulna (front leg) bone in my hands of an Ice Age Spotted Hyena (the larger ancestor to modern spotted hyena in Africa). Yes, Ireland has these top predators/scavengers some 40,000 years ago! #PALAEOIreland 🏺

Yeah, that rounds him up nicely - food is inhaled at feeding times! Then runs to Prince to see what she has. Doors have been closed now during feeding times in separate rooms.

I’d say Trump and Ben did a deal whereby Gaza will turn into Trump estate and golf courses. There is no way Trump is not getting anything out of this ‘deal’ himself. I don’t trust them at all. Leveling of buildings thru bombing was happening in advance of what?

#FindsFriday This unique carving of a woman was discovered in 1880 in a peat bog in Ballachulish near Loch Leven, #Scotland in 1880. Carved from a single piece of alder, the Ballachulish women stands 1.5m tall, has quartz pebbles for eyes and dates to about 600AD. Her purpose is unknown. #IronAge

It’s a rapidly unfolding story as I found something else of the same species that shouldn’t be here but if both go for dating and come back same or earlier/later than each other than things got very exciting, but either way it’s very exciting! Could potentially show connections unknown before !
