“We are watching one of the wildest things a nation-state has ever done,” ... “A superpower is [dying by] suicide because the [Republican] Congress is too cowardly to stand up to the Mad King. This is one of the wildest moments in all of geopolitics ever.”

"If I could come with some advice, it would be for the Senate & House to start to take control of political power in America because with this erratic & mad behaviour, you have to ask the question, is the President capable of running the US?"

Turns out the real threat isn’t immigrants - it’s blue zip codes.

"ICE is not the problem, it's Joe Biden's open borders that caused this!"
Biden deported 1.1 million people. (and turned away 3 million during Covid.)
Obama deported 3.1 million.
Without any need for ICE to lose their shit.
This has nothing to do with deportation and everything to do with obedience.

Pew Research Institute (2023):

• Red State Texas has about 2.1 million undocumented immigrants

• Red State Florida has 1.6 M undocumented immigrants

• Blue State Minnesota has 130,000.

And yet only Minnesota is being occupied by masked thugs over "immigration."

It's *not* about immigration.

Throughout human history, some of the most powerful resistors of fascism have been poets, writers, comedians, and other artists of every sort.
As we seek way-markers for this season, Pablo Neruda is worth our attention. Here's an intro to his life & work: www.theparisreview.org/blog/2018/03...
