Today marks the 3 year anniversary of my book RVA playlist and the 1 year anniversary of the Deluxe Edition. Thank you to everyone who has bought a copy, told me they liked it, shared it with friends, and harassed me about when another book is coming out. It meant the world to me.

Bill was such a force for the music community. I hosted “Global A Go-Go” for him once and was terrified because I knew nothing about world music. He told me that world music was just “local music from someplace else.” I did a world music tour on my show and it’s probably one of my favorites ever.

I’m a firm believer in horror movies being very helpful in dealing with mental health struggles. I talked with advocacy and support group Victims and Villains about using pop culture and horror to address mental health. (And their film festival this weekend)
Victims and Villains is dedicated to deconstructing the stigma surrounding mental health through pop culture and horror.
