What my life is really missing is spending years trying to crack a case, then finally having a breakthrough after a late night of bad coffee and cigarettes, and getting to stand in front of my team, circle a place on a map in red sharpie, and say “we got him.”

I was just logging His Three Daughters on Letterboxd (#102!) and decided to scroll Elizabeth Olsen’s filmography when I came across this movie and had a very strong flashback to being 7 and watching with my little sister. Martin Mull Forever.

Apparently a good way to save money is to buy stuff on Black Friday and have it delivered to the UPS store because of package thieves, then forget/be too lazy to pick it up for a few days, then have UPS return your package and your order gets cancelled and refunded.

It’s just incredibly weird to me that this random guy who did a random horrible thing merits this treatment.

There are much more important and significant people, good and evil, they could be elevating. Why this guy?? What’s the point? What are they trying to accomplish?
The "accomplishment" that earned Penny this honorific visit with the incoming President and VP was that he killed a homeless man with his bare hands, and then was acquitted of criminally negligent homicide by a jury in the same city where Donald Trump was recently found guilty of 34 felonies.

This might be new industry standard. When OK recently moved to managed care for Medicaid clients, they blanket denied all speech, occupational and physical therapies. In my case, for an autistic child, non-speaking, with high support needs.
NEW: After reviewing leaked documents, we have found UnitedHealth is strategically limiting access to a treatment for thousands of children with autism across the country in order to cut costs.

Advocates say the company’s strategy may be illegal.

My current headspace: my buddy getting engaged after dating 3-4 months is making me depressed. Although he’s a tech worker turned fireman who is a world record hunter, farms honey, built a sauna, and is an amazing dad, so I’d marry him too.

I just got back from seeing Interstellar in IMAX again and holy shit it really holds up. Everything about this movie was executed and the movie stands on the score and McCounaghey but the secret sauce is TARS

This is my favorite way that anyone flexes their fame or privilege. A perfect marriage of kinda famous in a kinda small city to get kinda special treatment.
I tested my “can I just get home from the airport because I know someone on the flight” theory and I did know someone on the flight be she was Ubering home and that doesn’t count, so I just stood around until someone was like “are you Hank Green?” And I was like, “Yes, are you headed downtown?”
