Virginia's legislative session only started yesterday, and it was a very big day.
The House already passed four constitutional amendments on Day 1:
—protect abortion rights
—repeal the same-sex marriage ban
—allow mid-decade redistricting
—greatly expand voting rights restoration.
Next: Senate.

So many funny things about this game
1. They pushed the first half spread (-13, the line that was being fixed)
2. They scored 20 MORE POINTS IN THE SECOND HALF WHEN EVERYONE WAS ACTUALLY TRYING
3. Georgetown was so bad that a 3-24 team with a guy shaving points still covered a +13 first half line

It’s part of the way I deal with stress/trauma, so I say this with the utmost respect, but I had a vision of the Ken Burns doc on all this, and it has to be slow pans of Norm’s sepia toned posts underpinned by fiddle arrangements of Paul Westerberg’s “Waiting for Somebody.”
Goddamn heartbroken.

On the ground here in Minnesota, it’s hard to reconcile the immense bonds of community that have been built in a week with the fact that we live in a country whose government appropriated billions of dollars to an unaccountable paramilitary force whose sole purpose is ethnic cleansing.
