Just finished this in 2 days, it was so good! I love how the fairy-tale/fairy-tale elements were woven throughout the story and there were so many genuinely funny moments. I really enjoyed how the story handled complicated family relationships. Highly recommend! 5/5 ⭐

Hi, Dave! So glad to hear you're enjoying the book!

Gnoflwhogir is a name I made up; I didn't want her to have a human one. In terms of pronunciation, however, it's intended to be spoken as if written in Welsh -- all consonants pronounced, and "w" is a vowel.

Finished This Princess Kills Monsters while on the beach. A really delightful, witty, laugh out loud book. Loved the characters and would happily read 100 books in this world.

(Sorry for the crummy photo, I'm awake at 7am on vacation and everyone else is wisely asleep.)

Amazing. Some of the most beautiful aerial pole work I’ve ever seen. Stunning and evocative.

I also liked The Other Mozart, Stevie Martin: clout, and Alasdair Beckett-King: King of Crumbs.

Here's 362B: Ry Herman chats about their fascination with queer themes in fairytales and folktales, and how an obscure Grimm’s work known as The Twelve Huntsman became their catalyst for writing THIS PRINCESS KILLS MONSTERS. @ryherman.bsky.social
