You have scrolling glitches, glitches that make your screen shake, link just sliding across the screen. Then you have Glitch Town. Lots of interesting stuff

There a lot of glitches and exploits in the code as well as graphical errors with side scrolling. Pretty common with old low bit cartridge games honestly. The more you cram into such a tiny “space” the more weird shit is starts to happen.

Surprisingly, I learned this in my History of Animation class in college. Not the touring with Vauldeville part, but that the style was based on minstrel shows. Was a pretty crazy thing to learn in 2006.
