You should be concerned about the rate of authors leaving publishing. Especially from marginalized communities. This year I have seen so many authors just pack it up and go. And it's only getting worse.

I was once working in a “progressive” writing center at my college that let me go illegally while telling me I was on official medical leave when I got lupus. Ironically when I worked there they made me attend an 8 hour disability justice seminar. Smdh.

God just had such an awkward phone convo with our dentist office while rescheduling me and Bee’s appointment.

They could NOT understand that I was gay and kept being like “okay but what’s HIS name?” when kept repeating “my partners name is Bee [last name]” like three times!

Yesss. It’s hard to describe to people, especially doctors. I am not officially diagnosed with POTS but I suspect I have it. But I do have a bunch of multi system autoimmune disorders.
