these cards where shipped in a undersized box with one layer of bubble wrap and touching each other... from China, and arrived quite beat up :(

P.S. I call this procedure "Tickling the core" 😆 because when the balls melted, you're very carefully tickling the GPU sides with a small 🪛 or tweezers, and any wrong move and you're done 😅

Lol, turns out one card wasn't 'fixed', it would artifact randomly, sometimes even while posting. After looking for a broken parts over and over, I've noticed it was pressure sensitive around the GPU, so I did a lazy thing and reflowed the chip, and I think it fixed it - first time for me 😅

and I 'fixed' the other two cards😆
turns out one of the cards has problems with the DVI port and would artifact and go black screen when monitor is connected to it, but works fine when connected to the VGA or with a DVI to VGA adapter(I suspect either a bad GPU or a bad BGA contact)

I fixed one. It was missing one of the 15-ohm resistors on the back of the card. As a result, only 64MB of memory was visible, and it wouldn't start with the driver installed 😞

something like this but modern and with glass

Yeah, I want something similar, maybe even smaller, without any extra space for the water or anything, plus an mATX version of it

same here, 100% getting this error after the PC goes to sleep and then wakes up

what model are these cases? they look compact

and I don't have a 3090 or two 🫣

Some day I'm going to build a 1080Ti SLI, or maybe even a 3090 SLI system😆

and Crysis, not the 100% utilization though

and apparently STALKER 😁

So far I haven't had any problems with SLI, but I've only played a couple of games... I remember the first Alan Wake running great on a pair of GTX 680

You should look for a better-priced $1234 CD player 😂

Well, if the bridge chip is wired to 32 x PCI-E 2.0 lanes and you use one 16 x PCI-E 3.0 card then maybe it's running at full 3.0 speed? 🤔

Where do you see it in the manual?

Before and after of a Mac floppy drive repair. Superglue and about 10 traces.

I'm more about how this isn't the fastest platform and it is so power-hungry 🫠

and no, it wasn't the resistor from the first card 😆
