I think if the book is in color it can get away with costing $2.50~ more, so that it can be more well constructed and built to last. The world doesn't need more garbage.

I've also seen a lot of complaints about DC's Compact Comics having shitty spines.
I understand these books are meant to be as cheap as manga, but I philosophically cannot get behind things that are meant to be disposable.

Sure, the book is cheap. But I'd be struggling to read it the entire time, and at that point, am I even "reading" the comic? If I can't read it with a good physical presentation I'd rather just look at it on my computer.

I've been thinking about buying the Harley Quinn Compact Comic book, because I'm an Amanda Conner fan and it's dirt cheap even in the EU.
But it's really hard to get enthusiastic about a book where the gutter absorbs the artwork this severely.

In Curse of Chucky and Cult of Chucky, the franchise found its best protagonist ever in the form of Nica Pierce, played by Fiona Dourif.
And so it's immensely disappointing that the TV series mostly focuses on three teenagers who are never particularly interesting. Nica appears, but not enough.

Finished watching the Chucky TV series, which has a wildly uneven quality.
The big criticism people on /r/chucky seem to have is that the title character is no longer "scary", which is possibly the clearest example of something not changing about a franchise but the viewers not being 8 anymore.

I've been watching the Child's Play / Chucky films, and I'm reaching the surprising conclusion that it's probably the best horror franchise ever? At least it has the best hit:miss ratio.
The worst movie, Child's Play 3, is painfully mediocre, instead of an outright catastrophe. (1/3)
