If more people were willing to criticize things they like while it's airing, lessons could be learned and shows improved
But too many ppl rate shows 10/10 because they got a hype fan service moment while ignoring all the fundamentals of what makes a good show in the first place so nothing changes 🤷♀️

People just keep watching hoping they'll tie it together in the end, but they almost never do. When it falls flat at the end people will be upset, but they've made their money at that point so corpos don't care. They're getting ready to shove the next big thing to the masses to repeat the cycle

The problem is writers have one solid idea or good source material to start, so the initial show is good.
Once they run out of source material or force more material out of a used up idea because it's making big money for the corpos so they need more of it, it's over.

Maybe it's just the autism pattern seeking, but I find it surprising when everyone is so shocked these big streaming blockbuster shows have terrible endings.
Stranger Things ended badly? Yeah did you not see any of S3-4? Game of Thrones? That started falling off in S5.

Historically they're not the first, but I feel like after so many failures you'll eventually learn when to let go of bad bets like this.

Looking forward to a season 2 though! It's a good world and fun characters, I just think the ending got away from everyone 2/2

Idk if you guys care about feedback and I think this is an unpopular opinion but I gotta say:
I loved the season up to the last episode, but the finale was not good imo. Waay too many bits that took away from the story. Too many attempts to circumvent bad rolls. Disappointing character wrap ups 1/2

But I shouldn't expect more from Online People™ who are effectively ok with the status quo bc it drives traffic (and thus money) their way from scared people who will actually be affected by the rise of fascism
