It’s really difficult to accept that anybody on the task force besides Health By Design and IndyGo are even acting in good-faith at this point. All of the missed deadlines, especially the 2026 budget, are not adding up to future success by my math.

If they cared about Vision Zero they would have the next task force meeting scheduled, they would have included goals/KPIs for the immediate/short/medium terms, and they wouldn’t have ended the meeting by saying “be patient.” It’s been 16 months!

It feels like we’re being slow rolled and this is step 50 in a 900 step process. There is no urgency. There is nothing groundbreaking in the Vision Zero Brochure that they have created. It’s a lovely Vision Zero brochure, but many just like it existed 16 months ago when we were at step one.
