In theatres!? Omg, you're so lucky! And I agree, the soundtrack really meshes well with the story, the anime team really knew how to create and keep an atmosphere. (The dub is also really good...)

I prefer him in the first movie tbh, it feels a lot more thematically solid with the whole 'deal with the devil' situation. The manga went off the rails a bit imo, but it's still fun to read.

gundam thunderbolt is about the tragedy of having the same hobby as someone but instead of bonding over your shared interest, you're doomed to be enemies because they're part of the hobby subgenre that you can't stand
