Currently reading The Art of Spending Money by @morganhousel.bsky.social.

Here’s a hard truth from the book:
One of the biggest conflicts when managing money is finding the delicate balance between compound interest and the fact that you are one day closer to death than you were yesterday.

Great read about @kevinkelly.bsky.social. Was nodding my head throughout the entire thing.

(I can also recommend his book “Excellent Advice for Living”)

Weather has been shitty for weeks.
So I flew myself to Portoroz for the first time to get some sunshine and a delicious lunch. ☀️ 🛫

Do we refactor messy code or ship features customers want? Fix the architecture or close deals?

Every feature is a promise to maintain it forever. Easy to add, incredibly hard to remove. Customers see features and assume more is always better. 1/2
Choosing Between Visible and Invisible Work – Slow & Steady by Patrik Inzinger
Every new feature adds complexity. Every refactor is invisible. My constant struggle choosing between what customers see and what actually matters.

On the hunt for some sun today. Weather has been terrible lately so we figured to try our luck above the fog layer.

My day is a rollercoaster so far.

Our entire marketing website infrastructure went down briefly, for reasons we couldn’t figure out yet. 🫠

A new potential deal with a 30+ therapist group practice right before Christmas. 🥳

I kinda have the urge to build a proper FlightLog app for GA pilots that‘s EASA compliant with _superb_ user experience. Am I too old to start vibe coding? I wouldn‘t even know where to begin… 🫠😅

A few pages in, but I already love The Art of Spending Money by @morganhousel.bsky.social. Big fan of his previous books, too!

Today, we crossed our (ambitious!) ARR goal for 2025 two weeks early.

From zero to a million+ Euro business.

Most days it still doesn’t feel real. 😳

We noticed a rising interest regarding the use of AI in browsers. To be clear about our position on this: Zen currently is disabling all AI features included in Firefox and will continue to do so.

The /now page is still one of the best concepts I’ve borrowed from @sive.rs. 👏

Netflix buying Warner Brothers. Didn’t see that coming. 😳
Streaming just swallowed Hollywood.

My constant struggle at appointmed is choosing between fixing fundamental issues almost nobody notices and shipping new features that everyone sees, knowing each new feature adds complexity. 🫠

Just stumbled upon The Pathless Path by Paul Millard. That sounds like a book written for people like me. 🤔

One of the perks of a profitable and healthy company is the freedom to do whatever.

We hold a “Strategy Workshop” twice a year. This time, I booked a two-day spa retreat for the entire team. We’ll spend a few hours talking business and then enjoy some well-deserved wellness. Money well spent. 🔥

The iPhone still struggles in very dark settings, unfortunately. Those did turn out ok, though. I love the Tron vibes on the lightbar.
