Absolutely 100% headcanon. In fact I hc that Doffy's antics managed to crack Croc's defensive walls so much that it became a deciding factor in the whole does-he-give-in-or-not. Vitally important part of the seduction.

Aww! Also, this proves Dragon wrong in the Madame Revolutionary comics. It was absolutely her. ...and I just keep thinking there should be a sunny-happy thought bubble from Luffy involving milk. For visibly obvious reasons.

Larvae crawling around until one day suddenly surprise butterflies! This is not some sort of surprise-principled Doffy, this is Doffy who doesn't pay attention to things that don't interest him and are of no use to him. As usual, just different past and biology creating differences here.

Also Doffy didn't have a traumatizing childhood because duh, he had no childhood. He's a demon. Therefore he also has no interest or understanding toward mortal children. He barely sees them because they don't register to his senses, because there's no desire in them.

I wanted Law's POV on the whole incubus-addiction thing. You know, as a medical expert and a hissy, grouchy, rebellious thing, absolutely opposite to what Sanji is in the fic. Law is really more of a hissy, principled thing here than plotting to kill Doffy, because well, there's no Cora.

This will be set about two years after the DofSan fic (the flashback of course having happened earlier) and will turn into LawSan. With DofSan still being a thing and DofLaw having been a thing. I don't even know how to combine their names for that.

This AU is sort of closer to Dungeons and Dragons than canon OP, and yes, Doffy is an incubus. An ancient, really powerful incubus. I have two parts posted, the first one about a year ago where Doffy becomes perma-summoned to stay in the mortal world, and the recent DofSan fic for Kinktober.

I originally planned to add some green to the palette of black, blue and gold, but I'm beginning to think that I'll do just LawSan for now (add Dof wherever he goes in that mix). After all, I've convinced myself that an AU that I write only during Kinktobers is a great idea. 👀Always a ready setting!

So I guess I'm somehow going to write LawSan this month still. Before Doffy's birthday, because that's when DofuWani hits that AU. I have trouble letting one-shots wrap up and lie, I need more complications and longer timespans, dammit!

So I have a beginning, and an end of a fic. Same AU as the DofSan fic. Because I wanted a comparison point, and Sanji deserves a playmate as company when the incubus gets busy. Or inevitably bored in a few years. Also I enjoy setting a bigger cast on this board for future Kinktobers.

Oh, I guess I should post a wip, how is it Wednesday again... last week with the Djinn's Daughter chapter, DofSan fic and Dragon's birthday definitely means there's no new chapter now. However, the DofSan fic (aka the return of the incubus Doffy) triggered something in my brain.

Hmm. The twins born a year before the triplets (Prim & Praline) do have a birthday, and that's July 22nd. So that would make the triplets birthday the -earliest- May 22nd. 'n we're only at six months when Yamato should have already been born. Now, pregnancies in OP can be weird. Like Rouge.

'm not finding the triplets birthdays! I thought every single OP character had a birthday designated by now. '28 years ago, Kanten, Kato, and Montb were born to Big Mom and her 23rd husband.' are the triplets, but without knowing the date... Yamato's birthday is November 3rd.
