A little while ago, my parents' cat Bridget went missing. As the weeks dragged on, they became extremely worried. My dad devised a way to distract himself: he began to paint Bridget's adventures, imagining her travelling through time and popping up in some of art and music's most iconic scenes.

I thought my hearing loss had gotten to the point where I’d just never enjoy music the way I used to, but turns out all I needed was the 4/4/4/40 method (driving for 4 hours at 4am on 4 hours of sleep and 40mg of Adderall)

Turns out having 1 day a week to manage ur life and see the people u care about is not quite enough
Also I got dumped & then realized I forgot my boots 1 hour into my 3 hour drive so I had turn around & then there were a million accidents the rest of the way up so my 3 hour drive took 6!! hours

TBH the part about how intimate creating a character is & how you don’t get to make their choices for them etc etc was laughable, given how bad the author is at making characters and how awful the characterization was for the “person” they were specifically referring to

I liked Three-Body Problem even though the characters fell flat & their choices didn’t feel realistic. Now I’m 30% through The Dark Forest & it’s got all the problems of 3body plus huge incel vibes/overt sexism, and I don’t think I can continue… does it get better?? #booksky
