Two partners in the $500 billion Stargate AI project — Oracle and SoftBank — have seen bond risk jump on massive capex. Oracle’s CDS cost tripled in 4 months to 120 bps. SoftBank’s topped 300. The Bloomberg Default Risk Model shows rising credit strains, with Oracle’s cash flow weaker than peers.

Oh dear. I didn't think UK politicians could get any more incompetent. Clearly I was wrong.

Corruption is a problem in Ukraine's government like all governments in the world, so there's a risk that if US and Russian kleptocrats dangle enough "contracts" in front of Ukraine's politicians, they may sell out their nation's interests. Read the 28-point "peace plan" for such "business deals."

Is there an alternative to Facebook like BlueSky became an alternative to X? Zuckerberg had one job -- to be a site for keeping up with friends. Now you scroll an hour through AI slop, ads, politics, fascist bots, before getting to anything from friends. With a monopoly, he does whatever he likes.

The OBR leak was bad but overblown by the right-wing media. This on the other hand is NOT a story. The UK economy is slowly dying. The conservatives are saying it is both dying and healthy here.. like Schrodinger's cat.

Zero desire for peace.

Putin said Kyiv wants fight "to the last Ukrainian" - which he was "in principle" ready to do. He said Russia has battlefield initiative and fighting will only end when Ukrainian troops withdrew from Donbas. If not "we'll achieve this by force."

Bloomberg's assessment of UK budget: Investors reacted positively to a budget that built back a vital fiscal buffer and expanded welfare. So did Labour lawmakers. But there were few signs that the budget, with its £1.6 trillion of government spending, would by itself brighten the country’s fortunes.
