I'm ready to admit that I don't think "cellar door" is a pretty phrase

Yesterday someone asked me if I have a 3D printer and I had to admit I don't even own a computer

The Nightmare Before Christmas is about a midlife crisis

My personal Fleabag fan theory is that Boo didn't actually die, but their friendship ending felt like a death. This is why Claire is able to throw it in Fleabags face

Before you have kids, you intellectually understand they need to eat dinner every day. But you do not understand what this means. You can't. They need to eat dinner EVERY day

"I'm on my way to the library," I said to a mom at school drop-off. "Good luck with THAT," she responded ominously. What do you mean? What do you MEANNNN

I'm in an ongoing "pregnancy during the pandemic" study and theyre doing regular follow-ups on how the 2020 babies are faring. Lots of questions about screentime which is interesting to me. I have doubts that parents answer those truthfully

My 5yo approached me with a very serious expression. "Mummy," he said gravely, "we need to phone call the Ghostbusters"

I have a niche grievance against people who complain about being overwhelmed by a group chat. Mute it or leave it!

Chatting happily to my kids this morning. My 5yo looks up from his Cheerios and goes "every day you talk about different things"

A lil sanity saver for the holidays is to buy a whole bunch of scissors. I think many of us grew up in houses where there was ONE pair of scissors. This doesn't have to be the case! Scissors are shockingly cheap, go buy 10 pairs and keep them everywhere

"Eldest daughter" becoming a whole identity that constantly talks about how bossy and perfect they are is incredibly funny and on brand

Regular reminder that some kids are just more chaotic than others, nothing to do with parenting philosophy. My youngest is pretending the pom pom on his Santa hat is a wrecking ball.

Decluttering is a lot easier when you buy your kids things with the intention that you will eventually pass them forward

Trying to tell my children the story of Jesus birth and as usual getting stuck on the part where not one single person was willing to give up their room in the Inn for a 9mo pregnant 16yo

My most cradle Catholic die-hard opinion is that Advent calendars should be opened ONE DAY AT A TIME

When parents lamented that their kids dont listen, I always thought that meant about things like what major to choose or what social activities to try. But kids don't listen to ANYTHING. I just suggested my tween take a towel swimming and he was like nah should be fine

I really hate gift guides this time of year. Everything is affiliate links for garbage that will end up cluttering the thrift store by March

I hate making hair appointments. I don't know what I want! Just tell me what I want! I emailed the salon with a photo of my hair and said pls just tell me what to book. No response, they are probably all laughing at my hair
