RIP, Robert Redford. Love your films, but Twilight Zone fans will always toast your sweet turn as Mr. Death. May you be welcomed just as warmly.

lol it rained on us while we were waiting to rope drop Hatchet at 5:30 and didn't stop until after we got out of Dolls just past 6. Luckily it wasn't bad rain, like my socks stayed dry, but it was annoying.
I feel like I've been very lucky this year for HHN weather bc every time I've gone, it's been pretty temperate, breezy, overcast, all that good stuff, and almost every night I haven't, there's been some kind of yucky weather.
You can get a lot done on bad weather nights, but it's tiring.

I used to be able to spend days wearing contacts (I know, I was bad, I slept in them) and now I find myself looking forward to when I can take them out at the end of the day. I love the freedom they give me but it's such a weird relief to wear my glasses afterwards.

Having done FNAF as both the first house and the supposed-to-be last house of the night (snuck in another El Artista run), absolutely recommend going as late as possible. Got in line at 4:45 and didn't get in until 7:00-ish on a posted 180 vs waiting 20 on a posted 70 at 1:20-ish.
HHN 34 House Count, 8/31 Update:

WWE - 1
Terrifier - 1 (Wet - 1)
Galkn - 1
Jason - 1
El Artista - 3
FNAF - 2
Dolls - 1
Hatchet and Chains - 1
Grave of Flesh - 2

Living life as a glasses-wearer is wild sometimes. I was finishing my shower and squeegeeing the door and I saw some very blurry small brown thing kinda move, and my first thought was, "is that a leaf?"
Nope.
Baby lizard, just chilling at the base of the door.
He's now safe outside, but man...

These amazing people have now actually repainted the crosswalk! I'm still teary-eyed from seeing the post from Anna Eskamani, things have been so bleak and this act of setting things right is so wonderful. It's not just a crosswalk, it's a memorial. #OrlandoStrong now and always.
4. Orlando's residents quickly organized, gathered at the site, and restored the rainbow colors with meticulously colored chalk. One witness described how, as people worked to bring the crosswalk back to life, a rainbow appeared in the sky, further electrifying the crowd.

The usual host was training a new guy on that round, and after it played he said "That was my grandma's favorite song in the '70s" AND I DIED
No but tell me why at Singo tonight when the category was 70s and 80s Dance Hits they played 1, 2 Step by Ciara???😭😭😭

Random lady at work: You have great hair, by the way.
Me, with my third day hair absolutely covered in dry shampoo that I've at least 60% sweated through and that I can't stop messing with and bangs that refuse to cooperate: Thanks...?🙃☺️🤨

I rewatch Gilmore Girls a LOT and the last time I watched the episode where Lorelai tweaks her back, I was like, pfft how unreal that someone who is 32-ish would have that kind of back pain.

Then today I woke up with horrible back/side pain, couldn't even take a full breath. I'm 31🙃

It's gonna be so weird at HHN this year not spending a bunch of time walking miles of switchbacks in this dirt lot formerly known as a parking lot.
Aerial look at construction staging at the far end of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. Related to the attraction that replaces it.

I really wanted to love Jurassic World Rebirth, but... it's a dinosaur movie that had some Jurassic Park/World nods in it, not a Jurassic Park/World movie.
It was kinda fun but VERY predictable, which doesn't have to be a bad thing.
It's on the border of C+/B- for me, but it could always change.
