#SaveSpeech

starting Nov 1st we're entering the holiday season, which is a big stress point for big businesses like Mastercard and Visa. These Paypros havent stopped cracking down on Adult Content, so we need to jump back into calling them in full force again!

I know you're tired of hearing it

I am tired of saying it

But please, if you care AT ALL about queer or adult content, make the calls. Keep the pressure up

Hey furries: all that work that's been done to pressure payment processors not to ban NSFW and queer media will be for nothing if any of these bills pass. I know democracy is dead in the US but we have a duty to try anyway.

Peep the linked post for info about what you can do to help.

VISA CAN'T HANG UP ON YOU UNTIL YOU STOP TALKING. YAPPERS, THIS IS YOUR TIME TO SHINE.

Talk in circles! Loop back to the same points! Take a minute to "remember" a word! Your goal isn't to change their minds, it's to keep talking for as long as possible to waste their money and clog call centers.
Visa says they're still drowning today! Payment processors think that we're not organized enough to keep this up but it's we either prove them wrong or submit to global censorship so it's. not much of a contest. Keep calling all 4!!

They think we don't have time for this shit. Yet they're the ones who took away all our work, meaning we have all the time.

Call your reps.
This bill would criminalize pornography by legally redefining what it means to be obscene.

Period. Full stop. No more porn legally. If you post porn whether free pics or paid vids. this affects you!

Keep calling your Congressmen about stopping KOSA and SCREEN dead in their tracks.

Keep calling Visa, Mastercard, Paypal and Stripe.
See OMB director Russell Vought, core to Project 2025, arguing for a national ban on pornography by starting with state ID laws. There's a clear national interest in attacking pornography from someone *within the Trump administration*

Hey Americans, if this passes you'll be uploading your ID to every social media and website to access it.
Be aware that another shitty bill has been introduced: The SCREEN Act.

If passed, it would require Full. Age. Verification.

Like KOSA, call all your reps & tell them what a horrible idea this is.

Spread this pls.

The script to oppose KOSA (the Kids Online Safety Act) AKA The Big Bullshit Censorship Bill is now up on @5calls.org

We’ve already seen the results of this over the last few days in the U.K. with their Online Safety Act (OSA). Let’s make sure it dies off again. Call your reps ☎️

So we've put together steps + a script to follow if this happens!

Please be careful out there

Literally none of the time you spent calling Visa/MasterCard this week will matter if this shit passes

Yes it's exhausting to have more calls to make

But this *is* life or death

Censorship is the first stage of removing marginalized people from public life, and then from life itself

DON'T STOP CALLING.

email them if you want, sure, but the fact that they are requesting people to *email them instead* (presumably because emails are much easier to ignore) means that the calls are WORKING, i.e. becoming a massive nuisance and interrupting workflow.

once again, DON'T STOP CALLING.

In summary:

- This call campaign needs to last at least a month
- As many calls as possible, so bring your friends
- Make sure each call lasts as long as possible
- Each time you make a call, mention it's not the first time you've called about this
So, WFM guy here, I crunch call center numbers all day and advise management on performance and staffing requirements. Here are some concrete goals to keep in mind with any sort of calling campaign: 🧵

Hey if you hate censorship and want to do more than just doompost online, you can actually do something: Being annoying!

Hoards of people have been blowing up the phones of payment processing companies to pressure them not to bend to the whims of puritan groups.

Maybe we could find out.

Mastercard (US): 1-800-627-8372
Mastercard (Int.): +1-636-722-7111
Visa (US + Can): 1 800 847 2911
Visa (AUS): 1 800 125 440
PayPal: +44-0203-901-7000
Collective Shout, the group that took credit for bullying Mastercard into recently censoring more platforms, stated that apparently it took them ~1000 phonecalls to convince them to give them what they wanted?

We got like way more people than that don't we?
ok then. one angle of attack then needs to be actively bombarding Visa and Mastercard's phone numbers and emails.

are customer support phone numbers/emails the best avenue to start with or is there a better option?
