I gave the IFPA my view of the trans-exclusionary OBX pinball tournament. I reject the notion that it's the responsibility of trans people to compromise with transphobia, and also reject that it's just a "women's issue".

This is not new. When I worked at Meijer aka the Midwest version of a 'fancy' Walmart, this was required to the point that one of the assistant store directors took us in the back room and made us PRACTICE SMILING! So yeah, I support boycotting these horrible places, but this is not new at all.
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.
They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.
If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

If the IFPA wants to make a powerful statement, they should give this tournament a 0% TGP rating. Not only did the TD fail in addressing the incident, but most everyone else continued playing as if nothing happened. Therefore, all should be punished.
After today's multiple transphobic incidents, I'm not playing in any OBX pinball tournaments.
I hope the tournament becomes nearly worthless in WPPR points.

I've only had 2 hours of sleep. A mixture of restlessness and anger that some of my friends had to deal with transphobia this weekend.

Glad to see Fdev reverse course on the Dodec decision. They shouldn't have tested that line in the first place, but it's good to have a company see the impending wall of fan outrage and course correct to a monetization model that the fanbase has accepted.
